The team and the role
We are now looking for a Head of Facilities to take on a central role in our management team in Arvika. You will report directly to the Head of Operations Arvika.In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across the organization, including property, maintenance, project, operations, and support functions, as well as with colleagues in Volvo Construction Equipment. You will be an important link between local needs and the wider organization, helping ensure that the site runs smoothly, secure, and efficiently.This is a role with both operational depth and strategic scope, where you will help shape how we work going forward.
What you will do
As a member of the site management team you play a vital role in developing the factory for tomorrow. As Head of Facilities, you will have the real estate responsibility with focus on facility management, property- and production maintenance, including security and facility services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing the facilities function in Arvika
Managing budget, maintenance planning, and follow-up
Contributing to construction and development projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Coordinating services, orders, and maintenance activities with internal and external partners
Ensuring compliance with relevant directives, legal requirements, and authority regulations
Reviewing finances and agreements
Supporting initiatives within property, maintenance, and security

Who you are
We are looking for someone with experience in property, maintenance, security, or a related field, who combines structure with flexibility and a solution-oriented mindset. You feel comfortable planning and following up, while also adapting when needed. With strong communication and relationship-building skills, you create trust, collaborate across teams, and engage stakeholders in an inclusive and natural way. You are curious, open to learning, and confident in questioning existing ways of working to support continuous improvement. You enjoy leading projects, coordinating across functions, and balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day delivery. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.The following are considered advantages: a university degree in engineering, construction, property, security, or similar; several years of relevant experience; experience in maintenance planning, budgeting, and follow-up; good understanding of property owner responsibilities and safety requirements; and experience from construction and/or maintenance projects.
