What we are looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Business Controller to join our dynamic team at Volvo Trucks Latin America. Beyond strong financial and business partnering capabilities, we are looking for a professional with a strong digital mindset and passion for process automation, data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
This role will play a key part in accelerating digital transformation within Finance, improving productivity, enhancing data visibility and enabling faster, smarter and more efficient decision-making across the region.
As a Business Controller, you will collaborate closely with senior management, Commercial teams, Controllers and cross-functional stakeholders to drive financial performance while leveraging technology and automation to simplify processes and improve insights generation.
This position combines business partnering, financial strategy and digital transformation, offering a unique opportunity to drive impactful improvements through automation, analytics and smarter decision-making processes. Responsibilities & Qualifications:

- Develop and manage forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
- Analyze variances, KPIs and financial metrics, providing clear insights to support decision-making.
- Partner with Latin America Controllers and Commercial leaders to understand business drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ensure compliance with Volvo financial policies.
- Drive automation and digitalization initiatives within Finance and Business Control processes.
- Develop dashboards, data visualization tools and automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making speed.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and optimize processes through digital tools and analytics.
- Promote a collaborative, innovative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics or related field.
- Experience in controllership, FP&A, business partnering and/or finance transformation, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, forecasting and data analysis.
- Experience with automation, dashboards and business intelligence tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, Excel and data visualization concepts.
- Knowledge of Power Automate, Power Query, SAP or financial reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with ability to transform data into actionable business insights.
- Fluent English. Spanish is an advantage.
Education and experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Economy or similar.
- MBA or post-graduation will be considered a differential.
- Fluent English (written and spoken). Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge in account general principals.
- Experience in similar positions.
