Purchasing in the Truck Technology & Industrial (TTI) Division is the global group function covering the purchase of automotive products and parts including aftermarket. We are looking for a Buyer for stamping metal parts that will lead purchasing activities related to South America region.

You will be based in Curitiba and report to the Head of Metal Purchasing.

Main Activities:

 

  • Be a key member in the local team of commodity and project buyers;
  • Drive all relevant activities to deliver best levels in quality, delivery, cost and feature, working locally and globally with your counterparts.
  • Manage sourcing activities during project phase;
  • Prepare/send RFI and RFQs, negotiate lead-times.
  • Perform cost workshops; Work and implement cost reductions;
  • Perform technical and commercial negotiations;
  • Ensure fulfillment of project targets;
  • Negotiate and execute agreements with suppliers;
  • Drive supply chain optimization;
  • Monitor, identify and mitigate risks. Manage crisis situations;
  • Manage and negotiate product/processes changes;
  • Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.

Who are you:

 

  • University degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in Purchasing and/or negotiation in a supplier/customer relationship
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good level of discipline in follow-up and action tracking
  • Business acumen
  • Motivated by change management and ability to drive change
  • Positive attitude, proactive, organized service minded and target oriented approach
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead activities
  • Ability to be open minded, to encourage collaboration and to add value with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Multicultural experience is an asset
  • Automotive experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
