SD\&I is a robust organization focused on purchasing Services, Digital & IT, and investments, packaging & industrial consumables for the Volvo Group.

Who Are You?
We are looking for a Senior Buyer who will lead purchasing activities related to Investments – Production Equipment Segments (E.G., Assembly Equipment, Body-in-White Equipment, Painting & Surface Treatment, General Automation, Industrial Robots, among others).
This Is Your Mission
As the Senior Buyer for Investments, your mission is to ensure the segment business plan is implemented by selecting the right supplier partners and continuously securing the best supplier QDCFTSR performance (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management). You will be ultimately responsible for achieving SD\&I targets.
You will also serve as the Purchasing interface for stakeholders and suppliers in your segments throughout the entire sourcing phases, taking full End-to-End business responsibility within your scope.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead, negotiate, and execute all sourcing activities according to defined project timelines and approved sourcing strategies
- Issue RFQs, negotiate optimal cost levels, and manage contract negotiations and administration
- Continuously evaluate the performance of the current supply base and identify potential new suppliers through high-quality relationships — focusing on cost, quality, delivery, features, technology, and long-term sustainability, while managing risks.
- Contribute to the development of segment strategies and lead the execution of agreed actions
- Monitor market and technology developments in this commodity and address changes through updated strategies
- Collaborate with global counterparts and internal stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for Volvo Group

Requirements:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong experience in purchasing and negotiation within supplier relationships
- Strong experience of strategic purchasing experience within Investments (experience in the automotive industry willbe an additional merit)
- Proven negotiation, analytical and communication skills
- Strong business acumen, agile in way of working
- Positive attitude, service minded and target oriented approach, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Motivated by change management and ability to drive change
- University degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
