Role description
As a Durability Feature Leader, you will focus on durability in product development initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the verification and validation of components, systems, and the complete vehicle in collaboration with the design departments.
You will determine actions and acceptance criteria to achieve the project's durability targets and meet customer requirements. Actions may include simulations, calculations, or specific tests such as bench tests or complete vehicle tests.
Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing our processes by analyzing data, exploring new ways to understand customer usage and expectations, performing measurements, bench testing, and conducting calculations in virtual environments. You will work with the Test Engineering team to refine our methods and testing codes and identify verification needs for new technologies.
Who are you?
To thrive in this role, a creative personality with the ability to generate innovative ideas and sustain a positive attitude is essential. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
- Proven experience with instrumentation (strain gauges and accelerometers), data acquisition, and analysis (fatigue, vibration, and test correlation).
- Experience in conducting physical endurance (fatigue) tests in both laboratories and proving grounds.
- Proficiency in simulation and virtual (structural) analysis.
- A strong customer and end-user orientation.
- Leadership and coordination skills that inspire confidence.
- Excellent communication skills, with the aim of establishing cooperative relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to driving tasks to completion.
- Advanced verbal and written proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
- Analytical skills with a focus on problem resolution
Additionally desirable:
- A Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Work experience in the automotive industry, particularly in durability analysis, design, and verification.
- Experience in setting requirements for components and systems.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA to identify failure modes and mitigation actions.
- Proficiency in post-treatment and analysis of measured/simulated durability data (expertise in nCode is a plus).
- A valid driver's license, Category D or E is a merit.

Customer Feature Verification is a global organization using deep customer knowledge to break down customer features into technical requirements. We drive validation plans to reach the requested feature level and secure end-customer satisfaction. We also manage the verification plans thanks to world class physical and virtual tests on the complete vehicle such as durability testing in rigs, fuel economy testing, reliability testing with customers and a variety of simulations and tests with trucks on proving grounds and open roads.
