What you will do

As an Inbound Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting inbound transportation operations across Brazil and the United States, ensuring material availability and maintaining reliable and cost-efficient transportation flows.


This role requires strong analytical skills, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different regions and time zones. Working in a schedule designed to provide extended weekend coverage, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of operations and proactively addressing transportation disruptions.

 

Your future team


You will join the Inbound Transport Material team in Brazil but work in close collaboration with Volvo in North America. The team works closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics providers, and transportation partners to ensure material availability and operational excellence.

 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor inbound transportation activities and shipment performance across Brazil and North America.
  • Manage and follow up express transports and critical deliveries.
  • Execute transportation bidding activities through our TMS (Transport Management System)
  • Monitor and support ShipIT operations.
  • Track deliveries, identify transportation risks, and proactively manage operational deviations.
  • Perform road and ocean Track & Trace activities and vessel follow-up.
  • Monitor Air Freight shipments and coordinate airport pick-up activities.
  • Support Container Yard management and inbound transportation flows.
  • Investigate transportation issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with service, lead time, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Support escalation management for critical transportation events affecting material availability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation reliability and operational efficiency.

Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to interact daily with international stakeholders.
Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operational areas.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different regions and cultures.
Knowledge of transportation management systems and logistics processes is considered a plus.

 

Important information

This position supports inbound transportation operations for both Volvo Brazil and Volvo North America.
The role follows a Wednesday-to-Sunday schedule, with fixed days off on Monday and Tuesday, ensuring enhanced weekend operational coverage.
Weekend activities are performed remotely and are focused on maintaining continuity of critical inbound transportation processes.
Periodic Sunday off rotations will be maintained in accordance with applicable labor regulations.
Flexibility to collaborate with stakeholders across different countries and time zones is essential.
