What you will do
As the Market Sales Director within a Market Unit at Volvo Penta, you play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and maximizing revenue within specific areas, customers, or products across France. Reporting to Nicola Pomi, VP & Head of Marine South Europe for the designated Market Area, you are responsible for leading a team of application engineers and sales professionals to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. You will also be part of the South Europe Marine Management team.
As the Market Sales Manager, you play a critical role in driving sales success and achieving business objectives within your designated area, customer base, or product segment. By leading your team effectively, building strong customer relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives, you contribute to the overall growth and success of Volvo Penta Marine Business Unit.
Your impact
You’ll translate strategy into a clear target—priorities, pipeline, and forecasts—and creating the conditions for your team to succeed through coaching, collaboration, and shared accountability.
In addition to leading the sales organization, you define and execute the market strategy for France, with full responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, develop key OEM relationships, and ensure strong aftermarket growth, while positioning Volvo Penta as a premium and trusted partner across the marine ecosystem.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop your sales & application engineering team through coaching, supportive follow-up, and clear expectations.
- Own the sales plan, pipeline, and forecast—creating focus and helping the team remove obstacles.
- Build trusting relationships with customers and dealers; turn needs into solutions and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, service, product, and operations to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Use market insight to guide priorities, positioning, and smart growth.

What you bring
- Experience leading a B2B sales team (marine or similar) and delivering steady, profitable growth.
- Comfort with forecasting, pipeline management, and negotiations—balancing customer value with margin.
- A coaching mindset: you listen, develop others, and create belonging while keeping outcomes clear.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills — you build trust across customers, dealers, and internal partners.
