What you will do
Volvo Group Digital & IT has the ambition to enable value creation at scale for the Volvo Group. With a product-centric operation model and digital technologies, we produce digital offerings that are profitable, scalable, and differentiated.
In Digital Technologies - IoT & Edge Computing, you will contribute to the transformation and digitalization of the Volvo Group. Our team and technology are evolving, and we are now looking for a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join us, focusing on secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in integrating security into our DevOps processes, leveraging Cloud & Edge technologies to deliver robust solutions.
You will:
- Be part of a global agile team working with IoT, deployment of the IoT platform and development of the IoT Foundational product
- Help to accelerate development by automating deployment processes, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Deploy & monitor containerized applications using, for example Kubernetes
- Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, as well as deploying and managing infrastructure on the edge & on-prem
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure value creation
- Monitor vulnerabilities through appointed tooling and proactively implement effective remediation strategies to address and resolve security issues.
- Explore new technologies (Proof of Concept / Proof of Value) to test and understand if a proposed technology has some potential to bring value to the Volvo Group.

Digital Technologies has 130+ talents worldwide. We develop foundational products based on cutting edge technologies supporting and creating business apps efficiently. We are an incubator to industrialize new digital technologies throughout Volvo Group.
The IoT & Edge Computing area in Digital Technologies is composed of 3 global teams (approximately 7 members per team) with the objective to facilitate adoption and industrialization of IoT & Edge Computing technologies in Volvo Group. Your team are responsible for the IoT Foundational product; we enable others to develop IoT applications, faster, scalable and more secure.

In this role, mandatory skills and experiences are:
- Proven experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related roles
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure) including security best practices
- Strong background in CI/CD, and modern infrastructure tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experienced in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automated provisioning
- Automation using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Recommended experience:
- Previous knowledge of Azure IoT services and experience in IT/OT architecture
- Knowledge of Azure IoT Operations
- Past experiences in IT within the manufacturing domain
- Background as a full stack Software Engineer
