About the job

Are you our next Buyer who wants to make a difference in Volvo Construction Equipment Arvika? Do you want to combine business acumen with technical understanding and help shape the future of purchasing? As a Buyer with us, you will play a key role in driving negotiations, developing supplier relationships, and contributing to efficient and sustainable purchasing processes – in close collaboration with both production and global colleagues.

About the role
As a Buyer, you will:
- Ensure deliveries of materials and components to product projects
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Participate in negotiations and contribute to cost efficiency and value creation
- Support projects with sourcing of new parts
- Drive improvements within purchasing processes and sustainability

 

You will have a broad network both internally and externally, and English will be a natural part of your daily work.
This position is located in Arvika, where you’ll work hands-on with colleagues across departments and you are expected to work on-site.
You can also expect some travel, giving you the opportunity to strengthen supplier relations and connect with our global network.

Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or economics or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and communication skill, with the ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- General technical understanding and interest

If you have knowledge of SAP and Windchill, we consider it an advantage.
