As Head of Manufacturing Engineering, you lead the strategic and operational development of manufacturing engineering at Volvo CE’s Eskilstuna site. You ensure efficient, safe and sustainable industrialization, production preparation and continuous process development. As a key member of the plant management team, you will collaborate across functions locally and within our global Volvo Group network. This is a pivotal leadership role where you drive our transformation towards automation, digitalization and future‑proof manufacturing.
What You Will Do
- Lead, inspire and develop the Manufacturing Engineering organization — ensuring a strong culture, capability growth and a safe, high‑performing work environment
- Secure robust, safe and cost‑efficient manufacturing processes that enable quality, productivity and delivery performance
- Drive advancements in automation, digital manufacturing, industrial technology and process optimization
- Develop and promote standards, common ways of working and best practices
- Contribute to long‑term capacity planning, investment roadmaps, layout design and overall factory development
- Use KPIs and Lean methodologies to enable continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Work closely with cross‑functional partners across the plant and the global Volvo ecosystem

What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Solid experience within Manufacturing Engineering, industrialization or production development
- Proven leadership experience with full people responsibility
- Strong knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience within automation, industrial investments or advanced manufacturing technology
- Fluency in English and Swedish
