Your future team

Within the Volvo Group Trucks & Technology Industrial division, we are the Range. We are a team of 80 project management professionals. We are responsible for leading projects/programs with the expected Quality & Delivery Precision, at the right Cost & Features level to secure the future vehicles of Volvo Group. We are based in Lyon (France) and Gothenburg (Sweden)

How you’ll contribute

As a Data Analyst with a Data Science mindset within the Project Management department of the Trucks Technology & Industrial division, your mission will go beyond traditional reporting. You will act as a data partner for project managers, helping them better understand, use, and trust data to support decision-making. You will contribute to building a data-driven culture, enabling teams to make insight-driven decisions.

You will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting project performance, optimized planning, risk anticipation, and strategic steering.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Prepare, clean, and structure complex datasets to enable advanced analysis (Python, SQL)
  • Go beyond descriptive analytics by exploring data, identifying patterns, and generating insights that influence project decisions. Map existing elements to clearly identify and address the gaps critical to project success.
  • Design and implement automated solutions to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency (RPA, Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Develop impactful dashboards and storytelling tools that support decision-making (Power BI)
  • Partner with project managers to translate business questions into data use cases and actionable insights
  • Act as a data evangelist, helping and training the Range teams to understand the value of data and adopt a data-driven mindset.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists across the organization to align practices and leverage advanced analytics approaches
  • Act as Product Owner for the tools you develop, secure a clear and complete documentation and description of the deliverables

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a strong transformation and collaborative mindset who is eager to learn, explore, and understand the business. You thrive in dynamic environments, embrace new challenges and ambiguity, and take ownership of your own development and growth. With strong analytical skills, you take initiatives and drive tasks forward with determination while bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team.

You enjoy building relationships and leveraging a global network to create impact while working collaboratively across teams and functions. In addition, you contribute to a culture of continuous learning by actively sharing knowledge, exchanging insights, and supporting the development of others.

You like to connect the dots yourself rather than wait for the full picture, proactively reaching out to the people who hold the missing pieces. You bring a curious drive to challenge the status quo using data, with strong storytelling skills that influence non-technical stakeholders. You show genuine leadership potential through curiosity, initiative and the ability to bring others along, and you're committed in equal measure to your team's tasks and to the program's projects. You're an active listener, you collaborate well, and you're curious about project management processes and performance indicators.

    • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to clearly describe processes and the work you've accomplished

Additional desirable skills:
