Shift Information 

Days and Backshift Shift Pattern Rotational | 39 hours Basic  | Overtime Opportunities, 1 in 3 Saturday's ideally 

 

Days: Monday - Thursday 0730 - 1600 | Friday 0730 - 1530

Backshift: Monday - Thursday 1445 - 2315 | Friday 1415 - 2215

What you will do

At Aberdeen you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. 

 

At Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland we give our customers exactly the vehicles they need, from new trucks to our certified used trucks.  For repairs, service and maintenance, the specialist team at Volvo Truck and Bus North & Scotland keep our customers moving.  All work is carried out in our well - equipped workshops by experienced, Volvo trained technicians, using genuine Volvo Parts and we are looking for experienced Technicians to join our team! 

 

The Role! Just a few things you will get involved with. 

 

  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process. 
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete Service sheets. 
  • Road test vehicles when required (If you hold an HGV license). 
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns. 
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately. 
  • Ensure all vehicles defects ae reported. 
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained. 
  • Help us in supporting the development of trainees an apprentices.  

 

 

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring: 

 

  • NVQ Level 3 Qualified or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance 
  • Have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry? 
  • Or have similar experience and have experience in the commercial vehicle industry
  • Basic knowledge of computer software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook preferred, as is a general level of computer literacy 
  • We would expect you to have a basic working knowledge of vehicle technology
