Purpose/Description
- Support operations by performing dismantling procedures on heavy duty trucks, vehicle assemblies, and core components
- Support Lead(s) as needed with special projects, stretch assignments and out of office coverage
- Perform cross-functional tasks to support production and warehouse operations as required
Core Responsibilities
- Support vehicle and parts dismantling operations by performing various tasks including:
- Dismantling heavy duty trucks and assemblies to marketable part number levels
- Cleaning, inspecting, and testing individual parts for resale
- Repairing trucks and/or parts as necessary to obtain dismantling flow volumes
- Processing and dismantling core assemblies for resale
- Recording and maintaining required documentation
- Using heavy tools and equipment responsibly
- Follow appropriate procedures in handling products and using equipment to ensure safety and health in the production facility by complying with established safety programs
- Crosstrain to function in all Production areas
- Train and mentor others
- Assist with QC in areas as needed
- Follow training plans and activities as assigned and directed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
- Support all other DEX activities as needed

Physical Requirements
- Required to sit, reach, walk, balance, crouch, and use hands to operate tools/controls
- Ability to stand for 6-9 hours
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
Minimum Education and Experience
- 5 years of experience in heavy duty parts and services
- Associate’s degree in automotive/diesel repair or related experience
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred, but not required
