Production Technician

Position Summary

  • Support production and warehouse operations by performing renovation tasks on production projects of heavy-duty components
  • Perform cross-functional tasks to support production operations as required

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks to support production requirements on various projects.
  • Follow procedures and utilize required tools defined by process documentation.
  • Perform and review tests to ensure products meet requirements of pre-set parameters.
  • Maintain and report required documentation.
  • Follow appropriate procedures in handling products and using equipment to ensure safety and health in the Production and Warehouse areas by complying with established safety programs.
  • Crosstrain to function in all Production areas
  • Follow training plans and activities as assigned and directed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area.
  • Support all other DEX activities as needed

 

Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Ability to provide quality workmanship
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn on the job and pass required company training
  • Maintains basic understanding and knowledge of mechanical principles and service

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of remanufacturing/manufacturing experience
  • Technical knowledge and skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to stand, walk, and use hands and tools to perform required tasks
  • Ability to stand for 6-9 hours
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Capability of hand-eye coordination of assembling components

For this position, the base pay is set at $21.24 - $26.24/hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
