As our Service Manager at our Ayr depot you will be a dynamic, motivational leader. You will be instrumental in driving business growth and overseeing the strategic development and operations of the depot.

The role - some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Full responsibility for delivering business results in line with agreed budget/forecast
  • Working hand in hand with the Business Controllers & Dealerpoint Management team to produce budgets and regular forecasts for the Dealerpoint
  • Lead the team to ensure that the business is operating within corporate guidelines including but not exhaustive; SHEQ, Training, Technical, Dealer Operating Standards
  • Manage the performance of the Dealerpoint in line with the agreed Parts and Workshop and Parts Processes & KPIs
  • Create and manage the Dealerpoint succession plan to maximise opportunities and growth through the team.
  • Develop and implement action plans for improvement and to enable performance to improve and grow the business for both new and existing customers
  • Ensure your team has regular reviews and ensure any competency gaps are closed by ensuring appropriate training and support is provided

Who are you?

To succeed as Service Manager, you’ll need strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial and operational data, manage budgets, and track KPIs. A third-level qualification and at least 5 years of relevant management experience are preferred.

Effective communication is essential, as you’ll be engaging with all levels of the organization and external customers. You should have experience managing a depot, leading a team, and driving business growth through people management to set your team up for success.

Organizational skills are key, alongside the ability to adapt to specific challenges and provide solutions. A basic understanding of vehicle technology, IT literacy, and knowledge of operator’s license regulations are also required.
