Mission / Purpose of the job

 

The Controlling & Product Finance organization is an important function to secure long term profitability within Trucks Technology and the Industrial division.

 

Within C&PF you belong to Business Control team.

 

As an Associate Business Controller you will be reporting to Manager, Business Control (Bangalore) 

 

TTI Business Control is responsible for consolidating and follow up on the TTI financial performance, do the financial planning and forecasting including managing project and investment controlling activities. The business control team works closely with the executive management and the different business functions, keeping a strong focus on business in a dynamic environment.

We are a great team located in Bangalore, Curitiba, Gothenburg, Greensboro and Lyon who are supporting both the local as well as the global management on all TTI related financial items and processes. We are now looking for an Associate Business Controller in Bangalore.

 

Role Purpose

 

As an Associate Business Controller, you will partner with business stakeholders to drive financial performance, cost transparency, investment governance, and informed decision-making. The role is responsible for providing financial control across operational, project, and investment activities while ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost management, and compliance with internal governance processes.

The role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse Business Controller portfolio and may evolve based on business priorities and organizational requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive financial planning, forecasting, monthly closing, reporting, and performance analysis for assigned business areas.
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure effective financial governance.
  • Take ownership of Business Controller responsibilities across different portfolios based on business and organizational needs.
  • Manage project and investment controlling activities, ensuring accurate cost tracking and financial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee vendor tooling activities, including endorsement and approvals in GPS, across project, serial production, and aftermarket phases.
  • Monitor and control project-related costs, including OTP pre-serial costs, project delay costs, and nomination credits.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, tooling inventory records, and perform monthly financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting, investment control, and continuous process improvements.

 

Qualification and Experience

 

  • MBA, M.Com or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Business Controlling, Project/Investment Controlling and Vendor Tooling
  • Good knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and SAP; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.
