Job Title: Senior Cross Functional Technical Lead - Chassis

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating cross-functional efforts to deliver product evolutions within the Chassis team, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets and timelines are met. The role also includes driving continuous improvement and leveraging digital tools to optimize physical build processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional coordination across Operations, Purchasing, Technology Streams, Vehicle Verification, Aftermarket, and Product Finance to ensure aligned and timely project execution.
- Drive end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of verified and validated chassis/section components and systems in line with product performance targets.
- Proactively manage risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Apply structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to resolve technical and project-related issues.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment through clear, timely, and effective communication across all levels.
- Own and maintain L4 technical timeplans; secure cross-functional buy-in and resolve roadblocks.
- Monitor engineering releases and maintain up-to-date product documentation.
- Lead part securement reviews to ensure timely availability of parts for builds and testing.
- Track and report Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Sustainability (QDCCFS) status across project dimensions and escalate as required.
- Leverage Virtual Truck simulations for early concept validation and support physical vehicle build activities.
- Oversee certification and homologation impact assessments; ensure execution of V&V plans to secure appropriate certifications.
- Collaborate with the Complete Vehicle team and internal Chassis Product Owners & Engineers to define and execute system-level verification activities.
Education & Professional Competencies
- Strong grasp of project management principles including planning, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and structured communication.
- Technical expertise in automotive development, with a sound understanding of chassis systems and truck technologies such as suspension, axles, brakes, fuel systems, and cooling modules.
- Proficient in Agile development methodologies and quality/risk management tools.
- Experienced in digital transformation initiatives and their application in engineering environments.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Agile workflows.
- Background in the automotive or transportation industry strongly preferred.
- Skilled in concept evaluation using frameworks like QDCCF, Pugh Matrix, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of, or keen interest in, emerging automotive technologies such as E-Mobility, Fuel Cell, Hydrogen ICE (H2ICE), and Hybrid systems.
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 12 years of experience in automotive product development and cross-functional project execution
