Global Logistics
Global Logistics is the central organisation globally responsible for creating availability of products and services in a cost-efficient manner.
Global logistic is also responsible for inventory management of all finished products globally as well as for supply chain and process development.
Furthermore, we are engaged in Product projects where logistic has a key role. 
Main KPI´s are delivery precision, forecast quality (demand & supply plan accuracy), service level and inventory turnover.

 

The Delivery Manager is a new and exciting role and will be a part of the VPO Delivery Coordination team and report directly to the Director Logistic projects, Volvo Group India pvt Ltd. Delivery manager is responsible for managing the daily work related to the outbound logistic process from Volvo Pentas distribution centre/3PL warehouse in Pithampur to our end customers across the globe. This is an excellent opportunity if you see below tasks as fun and challenging. 

Job Description:

•    Build close relationships with our Partners within Warehousing and Logistics
•    Follow up on our Partners KPIs and work with improvements linked to these
•    Take project lead in a potential new Warehouse setup
•    Coordinate with VECV Pithampur team for Engines and kits delivery as per plan
•    Ensure engines and kits received from VECV are as per order
•    Co ordinate with GTO logistic team and ensure smooth shipment booking to end customers
•    Provide Shipment information to Front Office & Business control and all stakeholders in receiving markets
•    Discrepancy reporting & Case follow up
•    Participate in / conduct meeting with internal stakeholders 
•    Third Party Warehouse Coordination and logistic partner interactions
•    Manage Delivery Constraints
•    Support in Customs Clearance documents when necessary
•    Work with our RFQs for our Suppliers based on cost, service level and sustainability
•    Develop our future needs in warehousing and transports 
•    Improve our forecasts for our inbound and outbound flows. 
•    Responsibility for continuous improvements within delivery coordination department.

Qualifications:
•    A few years of experience in Logistic/order handling related work
•    Experience from leading short- and long-term improvement projects. 
•    Experience from arranging KPIs for Suppliers and Business Partners and working on following up on these accordingly. 
•    Clear customer and quality focus
•    Well organized with Strong analytical & IT skills
•    Process oriented and proactive with a drive to improve
•    Ability to handle and lead change 
•    University degree in Logistics, Economics or Engineering.
