Core Responsibilities:
A Software Release Handler (SW RH) is responsible for managing and delivering software and dataset-related deliverables across control systems projects. This includes handling part numbers for MSW (Main Software), DST (Dataset), and other datasets. Key responsibilities include:
Release Coordination: Communicate planning and progress with project leaders, configuration managers, and application leaders depending on the deliverable .
Documentation & Configuration:
Create or update E-DCN and D-DCN documents.
Generate MSW keys and DST captions using SEWS2.
Create description files and node templates.
Register part numbers in KOLA and roadmap systems
Verification & Packaging:
Perform software downloads and verify pre-releases.
Create engineering tool release packages.
Ensure consistency between SEWS2 and built software

Administrative Support:
Assist PL (Project Leader), SWL (Software Leader), and AL (Application Leader) with delivery packages, container creation, and PDM Link approvals
Tool & Device Maintenance:
Maintain test programming devices and interface with PROSIT

Extended Capabilities
Agile Practices: Familiarity with Agile Ways of Working (WoW), including Scrum Master skills for sprint reviews and JIRA board management Process Ownership: Responsible for ensuring release notes are reviewed and finalised within defined timelines, coordinating with SEM/SEI teams

 

Skills & Competencies
Technical Tools: SEWS2, KOLA, PROTOM, ATI VISION, CANalyzer, Grade-X, Windchill, Tech Tool, Prosit + .
Project Management: JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Structured thinking, clear communication, customer orientation, change management, and strong networking.
