Position Summary
We are looking for an ExcelHer - System Design Engineer in Powertrain Technology with strong automotive engineering experience, solid automation skills, and hands-on familiarity with the latest AI tools to improve efficiency, productivity, and engineering quality. The role will support the design, integration, and validation of powertrain systems, while also contributing to process improvement through digital and AI-enabled engineering methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support architecture definition, interface management, and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, simulation, testing, software, manufacturing, and quality.
- Perform technical analysis, reviews, and problem-solving during development and validation.
- Contribute to automation of engineering workflows, data handling, and reporting.
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency in documentation, analysis, decision support, and repetitive tasks.
- Support continuous improvement in development methods, tools, and processes .
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
- Proven experience in the automotive industry, ideally within powertrain or related systems.
- Strong understanding of system design principles and engineering development processes.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools, scripting, or process digitization.
- Practical experience using modern AI tools for engineering productivity and efficiency.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with powertrain systems, vehicle integration, or component-level development.
- Familiarity with requirements management, model-based development, or systems engineering tools.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, GIT/Jenkins automation frameworks, or similar tools.
- Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows, document generation, knowledge search, or data analysis.
- Experience with Agile or lean development methods.
