Experienced Engineer – PWTI and Penta

Job Description

 
The Experienced Engineer – PWTI and Penta will contribute in the area of Engine peripherals Coolant system, Fuel system, structure design, Noise isolation, Air intake, Exhaust system, Flywheels, Flywheels housing etc. for various Penta projects.

Core Responsibilities:

• Proficient in the Design and development of Engine coolant system, Air intake, Exhaust system, Flywheels, Flywheels housing, NVH and Packaging for various Penta projects
• Analyse and understand customer requirements
• Apply engineering quality methods such as DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), etc., in daily activities.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks on time, even under tight schedules
• Design of Sheet metal, Pipes, hoses and casting parts.
• Gathering all technical specifications and preparation of technical requirements document of the components.
• Detailed development of concepts and reviewing with cross-functional team
• Participate in development projects reaching targets in terms of QDCF
• Product release for Concept, Development, and Industrialization
• Work closely with partners & suppliers for development of components.
• Addressing technical issues in coordination with the supplier and cross-functional team
• Define the verification and validation needs and ensure design fulfils the business targets/ requirements
• In your work, there will be frequent topics to manage with Global XFs and Suppliers around the world. Hence it is required to establish right participation & contribution to Advance Engineering, roadmaps and knowledge management as well.

 Required Competencies:

• B.E/M.E. – Mechanical/Automobile Engineering with Relevant experience of 3-5 years
• Hands on work experience in similar automotive, truck or Engine manufactures- preferably from any OEMs or Tier 1 companies
• Experience in heavy commercial vehicle industry will be an added advantage
• Good communication and problem-solving skills. Solution and Problem solving Oriented
• Knowledge of product design & development cycle (End to End)
• Design of Sheet metal, Pipes & hoses, casting components and basic plastics.
• Good knowledge and application of GD&T and 3D Tools (Creo) and various release processes
• Designer tools (3D/2D design and PDM systems)
• Understanding of Digital Validation reports like CAE- Durability
• Establish a Strong Network with Global Counterparts and Cross functions.
• Agile way of working knowledge is an added advantage.
