Position Title: Experience Hardware Electrical and Electronics Engineer

 

Role Overview:

 

The Hardware Electrical and Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the development of automotive electrical components specifically for the TEA2BP and TEA2+ platform HMI systems. This role encompasses the design and integration of stalk switches, air conditioning control panels, dashboard switches (with LIN/CAN protocol experience), and flexible switching solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the gathering and analysis of requirements, preparation of comprehensive technical specifications, and the integration of electrical and electronic components within the vehicle systems.
  • Release and manage component documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Initiate and facilitate technical discussions with suppliers on topics including requirements definition, design and development, validation processes, and issue resolution, maintaining close cooperation with global stakeholders, component owners, OTSRs, and project managers across multiple sites.
  • Define and balance all component requirements to maximize standardization and commonality across platforms.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and global counterparts to ensure successful component development, from concept through to validation and production release.
  • Analyze both project and technical needs, providing leadership and direction in the development of electrical components such as sensors, HMI modules, and power management systems.
  • Drive the creation and review of technical concepts while ensuring supplier agreements are established, documented, and maintained.
  • Develop, define, and review validation plans in partnership with suppliers to ensure all deliverables meet the required standards and performance targets.
  • Actively participate in project risk analyses, including DFMEA and SFMEA processes, to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout the product development lifecycle.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • BE or M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
  • 4–7 years of automotive experience (OEM/Tier-1 only).
  • Strong interest in vehicles and innovation.
  • Excellent system-level component knowledge.
  • Effective communication, organisation, analytical fairness, and focus on quality, cost, time, and features.
  • Team player with a growth mindset.
