About Us

The Services & Connectivity group’s role within the Vehicle Technology R&D division is to secure the Connected solutions are deployed on all truck brands in a quality assured way. This group will play a vital role for the Groups Truck Technology R&D division to effectively utilize the potential of Connected solutions like Uptime Services, Fleet Management, Vehicle Tracking, Navigation etc.,.

The Services & Connectivity team in Bangalore is an integral part of Global “Business, Services, Architecture& Connectivity” organization which shall secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance, truck specific navigation and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. Vehicle Connectivity develops software for telematics systems for several Volvo companies.

We are looking for an experienced Software Verification Engineer to independently design, perform and evaluate test cases. It would involve automation of mainly functional and regression test and verification of software for embedded real-time systems within the area of telematics. You would join a team of highly skilled and well-organized product development team with colleagues in USA, Sweden, France, India and Brazil. 

Role Description

  • Develop the End to End Test cases based on EUF Requirements for the Telematics Products and perform the Feature Testing.
  • Develop Simulations in canoe to simulate ECU behaviors in Test environment.
  • Develop Simulations in Python to automate the E2E testing.
  • Telematics Services Testing to be performed both HIL testing & Vehicle Level testing.
  • Responsible for securing that the software components are well integrated with the hardware and user environment in RIG’s
  • Analytical skills to investigate the Market cases and perform RCA. Flashing issues & customer EUF issues.
  • Active participation in Regression testing.
  • Collaborating with SW Development & System Engineering teams.
  • Work in Scrum/Kanban and Knowledge on SAFe release trains.

Requisites

  • 5-10 years of experience in System Testing, E2E Testing, Component Testing.
  • BE/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Computer science
  • Expertise in ECU simulation using CANoe
  • Automation experience using Python programming and CAPL scripting
  • Knowledge of Automotive protocols CAN, Ethernet and Diagnostics - UDS ISO14229.
  • Good understanding of Integration of Software & Hardware.
  • Good understanding of JIRA and Requirement Management tools.
  • Expertise in Telematics services testing & Infotainment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Systematic, analytic, pro-active and open minded with interest in software debugging
  • Basic knowledge in providing solutions for automation of verification activities in software within automotive domain
  • Good design & analysis knowledge to perform the reviews with the development team
