This position is within TTI (Truck Technology Industrialization), Powertrain Technology, where we work with multiple systems and components within design, development of our products for various trucks and bus ranges supporting global sites in both medium-duty and heavy-duty areas.

As Wiring Harness Engineer, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to Develop/Routing the Harness and Bundle Harness for engine and deliver the sustainable product.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

• Operational responsibility for Routing the Harness, Bundle Harness and Schematics preparations.
• Must be able to work individually and/or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables.
• Design for Assembly and serviceability in close co-operation with After Market and Operations.
• Integrate deliveries from cross-functions and secure quality and readiness before releases.
• Ensure the deliveries are met as per the set requirements and timelines.
• Frequent interactions with counterparts, clarify the requirements and deliver accordingly.
• Develop and implement wiring installation projects within the area of assignment including related routing and clipping solutions.
• Communicate relevant design and project requirements to external design counterparts as applicable if the detailed design is performed by an outside entity.
• Ensures design correctness and completeness for all PE & wiring installation releases within the area of responsibility.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: B.E/ BTech in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related field.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TRAINING:

• 6+ years of Automotive experience preferably in the Truck Powertrain industry.
• Proficient knowledge in Electrical Architecture and Schematics.
• Hands-on experience in Creo, Saber or Creo Schematics and PDM tool.
• Strong in Engineering fundamentals and excellent knowledge of electrical components.
• Good knowledge of the materials and material selection.
• Good knowledge about the Truck layout and packaging of the components.
• Knowledge of product development cycle and quality tools such as SFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFMEA, RCA etc.
• Knowledge in the design and development of sheet metal brackets and Creo piping is added advantage.
• Knowledge in mechatronics is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in System Engineering is added advantage.
