Job Summary
Role Overview
Machine Lifecycle Solutions (MLS) is where mechanical engineering meets real-world impact. As a Graduate Apprentice, you will work across advanced service and solution models that ensure machines deliver maximum uptime, productivity, and lifecycle value—from deployment to second life. This role offers exposure to AI-enabled productivity tracking, sensor-based condition monitoring, reliability engineering, and outcome-based business models shaping the future of the equipment industry.
Equipment as a Service (EaaS)
• Support usage-based (pay-by-the-hour) equipment models where customers pay for uptime and output, not ownership.
• Assist in ensuring uptime assurance through maintenance planning, parts readiness, and execution at customer sites.
• Participate in site reviews covering utilization efficiency, breakdown response, and service execution discipline.
• Be involved in Application study, Machine commissioning, performance acceptance tests, pre delivery inspections for the machines being deployed in EaaS
• Understand how engineering decisions directly influence availability, reliability, and lifecycle cost.
Productivity Services
• Work with AI camera-based productivity tracking systems monitoring cycles, payloads, idle time, and jobsite flow.
• Gain exposure to additional sensors such as accelerometers, telematics and other operational sensors for motion, and utilization analysis.
• Support data-driven productivity analysis to identify cycle optimization, idle reduction, and efficiency improvements.
• Assist with root-cause analysis of productivity losses using structured, data-driven methods.
Repair & Maintenance Agreements (RMA)
• Support structured Repair & Maintenance Agreements designed for predictable uptime and lifecycle cost control.
• Learn predictive and prescriptive maintenance concepts using spectroscopic oil analysis to detect early wear and contamination.
• Assist in preventive repair planning, maintenance scheduling, parts planning, and failure analysis.
• Contribute to reliability improvement by studying recurring failures and corrective actions.
Used Equipment & Circularity
• Gain exposure to used equipment evaluation and refurbishment programs, including EaaS-retired machines.
• Support condition assessment, refurbishment planning, trade-ins, and next-life preparation.
• Learn how circularity principles extend machine life and enhance sustainability.
