About NATS Apprenticeship Program:

National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, is a program where Volvo India engages freshly graduated individuals for year-long apprenticeships, providing them with practical training and skills development opportunities within the company’s various functions under Financial Services. it's a way for Volvo to train future workforce members through a structured apprenticeship program.

 

Education Qualifications: 

  • Fresher  -  Bachelor’s degree in Material Science/Metallurgy/Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals in materials (preferably metallics).
  • Basic understanding of materials properties and common processing methods (e.g., casting, forging, welding, machining).
  • Expertise in Material characterization (Mechanical, Chemical & Microstructure).
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering environment.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in evaluating and selecting materials for automobile applications.
  • Support materials testing and contribute to root-cause analyses (RCA) for material or process-related failures.
  • Maintain and organize material data sheets, test reports, and interpretations.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Coursework or lab experience in metallurgy, mechanical testing equipment and spectroscopic analysis.
  • Hands on experience with material testing and microscopy is a plus.
