About NATS Apprenticeship Program:
 
National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, is a program where Volvo India engages freshly graduated individuals for year-long apprenticeships, providing them with practical training and skills development opportunities within the company’s various functions. it's a way for Volvo to train future workforce members through a structured apprenticeship program.
 
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Prodcution Engineering) 
 
Experience: Fresher 
 
 Main Tasks/ Responsibilities : 


•    Learn and Support Quality teams in  addressing Supplier Quality issues using QC tools including Six Sigma approach
•    Learn and Lead successful implementation of industry recognized APQP& PPAP (AIAG) policies and procedures for sourced parts
•    Actively support Purchasing with supplier development activities to improve Quality, Efficiency, and Cost
•    Support Purchasing Department in maintaining compliance (ISO9001/ISO14001 certification) of suppliers, including participating in audits and other sustainabaility Initiatives
•    Manage business relationship with suppliers including implementation of the continuous improvement philosophy 
•    Act as liaison between the Supplier, Purchasing, Engineering and Operations in the development of new parts and changes to existing parts
•    Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo CE goals and objectives


Key Skills and Competencies: 


•    Knowledge in manufacturing processes like Fabrication, Castings, Forgings, Wiring Harness Assembly, Rubber moulding, Heat treatment, Surface finishing etc., 
•    Knowledge in quality methods and tools (APQP/PPAP, Lean, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement,)
•    Knowledge in Project management fundamentals
•    Good communication - verbal & written in English 
•    Good analytical skill and logical way of thinking
•    Committed to customer satisfaction and Drvie Change Management
•    Self-driven and entrepreneurial spirit
•    Business accumen & Ownership mentality
•    Capability to work in multicultural team in a cross functional global organization

•    Training : Quality Systems & Tools to Suppliers

•    Meeting : Commodity Team, Project, SD team Governance, Plant Quality
•    Product Quality Council & Poduct Maintenance review
