Who are you?
The main purpose and mission of the group SW Development is to develop and maintain Volvo Group’s in-house developed on-board connectivity platforms and SW Ownership. The group manager is the first line manager and the servant leader of diverse team. The group has competence in software design, Linux, Autosar, embedded software development, test automation, requirement and system and software architecture.
The mission is to:
• Develop and maintain our in-house developed SW (C++98/11/14/17, IBM Rational Rhapsody, test automation (Pytest, Robo framework - Python), requirement mgmt. and software architecture)
• Deliver software fulfilling agreed QDCF targets
• Lead and continuously develop the people in the group to deliver according to committed deliveries and to achieve the objectives stated in the strategic action plan
• Lead and continuously develop the processes, methods and tools that are used by the group and Agile Release Train to deliver according to committed deliveries and to achieve the objectives stated in the strategic action plan
• Ensure that the GTAG4 and On-board Connectivity SW solutions, products and projects area are managed and delivered in an optimal way.
The following qualifications are required:
• Master of Science in Computer Science, Electronics, BE / BTECH degree or equivalent
• Passion for people and technology with 3+ years of managerial experience from line management
• Minimum 7 years of experience from SW development in automotive industry within the area of connected services
• Experience of agile methods, such as Scrum and KANBAN (In SAFe)
• Experience from DevOps is an asset.
• Experience from IT development and maintenance is an asset
• Experience from Automotive development is an asset.
