Bengaluru Technology Centre is part of Global Technology at Volvo Construction Equipment. We design, develop and verify the Software solutions of the future machines and Services with the purpose of making them more efficient and environmentally friendly.       

About You

Your leadership experience gives you confidence in leading technology through people. You have interest in our customer’s pains and gains. You have a solid background in Embedded Software Verification area and agile experience.

 In this role you will create an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation. You have proven experience as a leader and excel in demonstrating the Volvo Group values. You also have a true can-do attitude, a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit.

What is the Job?

As Head of Software Verification – You are working to build the team with capability and capacity, making the most of individual talents. You have accountability for the QDCF of deliveries and taking active part in tactical and operational plans of the department. You will be part of the local Leadership team and contribute to the department strategy.

The Mission is to

• Manage Software Verification group in Volvo CE at Bengaluru Technology Centre
• Responsible for project execution and delivery with competence to deliver technical solutions within the cost, quality and timeliness defined in the project scope
• Responsible for compliance with the determined work processes to ensure quality delivery of the project
• Responsible for compliance to testing guidelines defined locally and globally for embedded software area
• Manage relationship within technology organization locally and globally
• Define short and long term need of competencies and resources
• Responsible for compliance to legislative and environmental related requirements within the operational field
• Prepare, Own and maintain respective cost center budget
• Responsible for development and appraisal management of direct reports
• Secure succession planning

Knowledge and experience

• • Bachelor / Master degree in ECE / EEE
  • 12-15 years of experience in Embedded Software Verification domain in Automotive / Aerospace industry
  • ISTQB Test Manager certification
