Reporting To: Head of India Purchasing & GTP India

Location:   Bangalore

Main Responsibilities

  • Be a member in GTP-India site management team and in an active way contribute to the development of the India Site
  • Ensure KPI fulfillment and performance results
  • Define long & short term objectives for the department & communicate effectively to ensure deliveries accordingly.
  • Responsible for purchasing process governance, optimization and improvements
  • Identify & Drive Continuous Improvements ideas based on business needs and strategies.
  • Ensure close collaboration with strategic line on global responsibilities
  • Ensure collaboration and alignment with direct & indirect stake holders.
  • Responsible for managing resource related to digital factory and coach / guide the team to deliver initiatives effectively
  • Support in building the budget on costing and resource requirements
  • Build and drive business cases related to digital solutions / process optimization / new solution
  • Drive implementation of Value-added solutions across line functions
  • Skill and competency development of the team based on new emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Smart apps, Cyber security etc
  • Proactively work with D&IT to come up with solutions to address purchasing needs and drive digitalization projects
  • Drive change management across purchasing line organizations to ensure best utilization of solutions
  • Manage resources by attracting, recruiting best talents, manage competence development and retain competent resources
  • You will be responsible for compliance in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • Having knowledge and worked in IT is an added advantage
  • Worked in automotive purchasing and having Knowledge of purchasing processes
  • Excellent decision-making skills, considering risks and opportunities, with an ownership mindset
  • Continuous Improvement and Excellence mindset with good communication skills
  • Strong analytical, prioritization and negotiating skills
  • Strong business acumen with very good technical and digital expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills - true connector working in eco-systems
  • Positive and collaborative mindset and strong energy to contribute to the success of the Volvo Group
  • Strong people management skills with solid ability inspire and motivate team
  • Able to execute in a multi-cultural organization
