Your Mission

To secure Operations and Deliveries efficiently and lead the team towards High Performance, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement while securing competence development and value addition from the team and working towards Stakeholders’ and End Users’ Delight. To also drive the Transformation initiatives / projects and excellence in the team in collaboration with Technical Leads and other cross functional teams within Purchasing / Volvo Group.

What will you do?

  • Lead and be the first line manager for a high performing team within Purchasing Support Centre, Volvo Group Purchasing
  • Secure optimized resource management, Competence development and assessment, drive performance and excellence in the team
  • Drive Continuous Improvement mindset in the team. Identify & lead “transform” initiatives and projects. Contribute towards digital transformation
  • Close collaboration with X-Functional Teams on Perform and Transform topics
  • Responsible to maintain and improve End User Satisfaction Results from the team / drive stakeholders & customer delight
  • Secure manpower planning, recruitment / resource availability and efficient utilization of team for management prioritized projects / activities
  • Responsible for Identifying, Monitoring, Review and Reporting of  KPIs / performance metrics and secure action plan for gaps / Improvement Areas. Metrics and Reporting
  • Organize and Drive Monthly Meetings with departments / Managers and secure Monthly Reporting to all key stakeholders / departments
  • Be the face of team towards End Users - Buyers, Managers and VPs and various Project Leaders working with & responsible for work transition
  • Work with Technical leaders to close all Escalations and secure Corrective and Preventive Actions and related Communication in the team and end users
  • Represent Purchasing Support Centre in any assigned Project or Initiative
  • Responsible for performance Management, People Development, Coaching & Feedback for continued team development, enhanced performance and high engagement level
  • Responsible for Delivery and Quality from the team at agreed levels, stretch targets
  • Key Stakeholders and End User Communication for the group
  • Bring in Best Practices from the Industry and other Volvo teams and drive benchmarking
  • Drive Value Add, Standard Scope deployment across user teams, work towards team growth and scope enhancement

Competence & Experience

  • University Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
  • Min. 8-10 years’ of overall experience of which minimum 5 years in Leading Operations / People Management / handling large teams
  • Leading People & Operations, Working in Global Capability Center
  • Excellent Communication & Networking Skills, Cross Functional collaboration, Global Operations
  • Leading Operations Transformation & Digitalization
  • Driving excellence in team with Continuous Improvement Mindset / Continued Value Addition / Solution Focus
  • Excellent Business Understanding & Knowledge within the field of responsibility, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management
  • Ability to go from the holistic strategic view and into the details
  • Ability to work with Stretch Targets / work through ambiguity
