PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:-

The role is responsible for driving channel growth initiatives, managing marketing communications (MarCom) activities, and leading strategic new business initiatives to strengthen market presence, customer engagement, and business expansion

RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Network Development & Channel Operations


•    Dealer onboarding, Network Expansion, and channel development activities.
•    Manage dealer agreements, compliance documentation, certifications, and legal coordination.
•    Develop and monitor 3S/2S/1S dealer infrastructure and aftermarket support systems.
•    Conduct dealer KPI reviews, performance monitoring, incentive programs, and business evaluations.
•    Support partners in lead generation, customer conversion, and business development activities,
•    Ensure partners are equipped and aligned to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
•    Manage dealer systems, application access, and digital support tools for smooth business operations.
•    Drive implementation of digital initiatives and business tools to enhance channel and dealer management efficiency.
•    Collaborate with global teams to support business development, system accessibility, and continuous process improvements


MarCom & Branding Responsibilities 
•    Manage exhibitions, events, and branding activities as per Volvo Penta guidelines.
•    Coordinate stall setup, vendor management, branding, logistics, and event execution.
•    Develop marketing materials such as brochures, advertisements, posters, and giveaways.
•    Coordinate press releases, media interactions, and communication activities.
•    Work with internal teams for documentation, approvals, and event support.
•    Coordinate dealer conferences, Customer engagement activities/events


Strategic Initiatives & Projects
•    Support implementation of new systems, processes, and service market initiatives. 
•    Lead strategic projects and coordinate with all stakeholders for effective execution.
•    Monitor project timelines, stakeholder coordination, and execution progress.
•    Prepare business proposals, presentations, and project status reports for management review

 

AUTHORITIES FOR DECISION MAKING

•    Volvo Penta Authority Matrix & Volvo Penta Business Manual  
•    Set by the Director - Service market

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•    B Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical/Electronics/ Automobile 
•    MBA in Marketing or relevant field
•    8–12 years of experience in channel development, business development, MarCom, or strategic projects.
•    Experience in industrial, construction equipment, power solutions, or OEM business preferred.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

•    Strong communication and presentation skills.
•    Business development and relationship management capabilities.
•    Good understanding of channel management and marketing communication.
•    Project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
•    Strategic thinking with execution-oriented approach.
•    Ability to work across cross-functional and multicultural teams.

REPORTING / OPERATING ARRANGEMENTS


Operating Environment:    Service Market Department

•    Working closely with, Volvo Penta Dealers, OEMs, and Fleet Operators across India – flexible to travel within India as well as overseas to conduct meetings.
