Job Summary:

Responsible as single point contact for production planning& material procurement. Responsible for smooth functioning  in the role and CF coordination activities, Cost Centers, colloborative working S&M, global S&OP offices, inventory management, Imports and Exports; inbound Logistics. Responsible for delivieries per commitment.

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:

  • Directly manage production planning and material planning activities.
  1. Order desk management 
  2. Material Ordering
  • Inventory Managemet & Control
  1. Set-up and improve effective procurement system thru MRP implementation
  2. Minimize base inventory level with effective flexibility to delivery and Shorten material supply lead time
  3. Adjust delivery schedule in-out and Improve delivery precision and suppliers’ capacity constraint
  4. Customs Clearance monitoring
  5. Responsible for Logistics, coordinating with group logistics, driving improvement projects- Kanban/Milk run/ consolidation and integration
  6. Lead and implement VPS (Volvo Production System) for material supply
  • Plan for man, machine and material to deliver the business requirement
  • Coordinating with Volvo Group Logistics for inbound and exports with focus on freight cost control /productivity improvement projects
  • Support meeting plant KPI’s through effective deployment of global tools like S&OP
  • Single point contact between plant and sales/Regions
  • ECN implementation – coordination
  • Shop floor control system like Sequencing, Release of Production orders, daily GR.
  • Conduct daily Material Review meeting.

Qualification & Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably worked in Supply Chain Management with minimum 10-12 years
  • Sound knowledge on product/process and systems/IT/SAP MM & PP Module.
  • Good communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills Preferred to be conversant with the local language in addition to English
