What you will do
Based in India (bangalore), you will be part of Thermal Man. & Power Distribution Purchasing team . You will work in a global environment with exiting challenges.As a Commodity & Project Buyer for Power Distribution scope , you will be responsible of supplier selection, manage the portfolio continuous improvement & performance.Together with your purchasing and cross-functional network, you will proactively drive all relevant activities, to continuously secure a best-in-class supplier QDCFTSR (*) performance during product development and serial life.
(*) QDCFTSR = Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive all relevant activities to deliver QDCFTSR (*) targets during Sourcing/Project and Operations phases
- Lead strategic sourcing projects to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure implementation
- Identify, mitigate and monitor risks and supplier crisis
- Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, sharing good cases and ask for support when needed
Who are you?
- You already worked as Project buyer (Min. 3years) in Automotive Industry.
- You have an adequate academic education, such as business (with specialization in Purchasing) or engineering background in electronics, software.
- You are a strong and agile team player, eager to learn and improve.
- You have the ability to drive change and who dares to try things no one has done before
- You have a can-do approach with a positive mindset, a high level of energy, and you are ready to tackle challenges
- You are comfortable in conflict and likes to negotiate
- You demonstrate strong communication skills with internal cross-functional teams, in front of suppliers and in a multi-cultural environment.
- Fluent in English
- Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
