Position Description
The position holder has the overall responsibility for driving Vehicle Sales Strategy in a market area that comprise the Indian subcontinent
The responsibility is executed through managing an effective cooperation between Volvo Trucks, our local business partners, and Volvo Group Business Units in India and Sweden.
The scope of work spans over diverse areas such as Public Affairs, Brand and Marcom, Business Development, Pricing, Sales Planning, Business Systems, Product Offering and Product Management.
We are looking for a multi-talented key person to join our lean organization and management team in executing our growth strategy, with sustainable profitability, and a sound commercial risk management.
Main activities and responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Secure an efficient cooperation with our local business partners
- Translate business strategies to key focus areas and ensure their implementation
- Monitor market price development and secure the right positioning to dealers
- Drive the business perspective in our product plans
- Ensure that the demand planning support the sales plan
- Drive the cultivation of our brand through marketing and customer care
- Support in the implementation of relevant business systems
- Monitor financial and operational KPI’s, provide analysis and reports on request
- Co-ordinate and support international and prioritized governmental sales
Qualifications and critical competencies for the position:
- Strong interpersonal skills/abilities with a high degree of flexibility, incl an ability to network effectively and build relationships across functional and geographical areas
- Broad generalist with a good understanding of the CV Industry commercials, and processes in areas of sales and marketing
- Technical experience to build the relevant product and service offering knowledge
- Earlier experience from business in India is beneficiary
- Well-developed capabilities in coaching and facilitation
- Fluent in both speaking and writing English
This position will report to the Vice President for India & Indonesia and is located in Bengaluru, India. Occasional to frequent long-distance travelling is required.
