The Team

Our team, “Cybersecurity and Functional safety in Bangalore” is in the heart of a great transformation. We work with developing and improving our product cybersecurity management system (PCSMS) and Cybersecurity Infrastructure Solutions in a continues manner by supporting teams to develop Cybersecurity Concepts, Threat and Risk Analysis (TARA), and conduct vehicle TARA and vehicle CS Plan/Case to facilitate release of work products according to state of the arts such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE 155. Our mission is to develop and maintain our product cybersecurity management system ‘s instructions, provide cybersecurity technical concepts and release needed Cybersecurity infrastructure requirements. We are also coordinating the CS work across the whole organization at Group Truck Technology (GTT). Our team gives the opportunity to dig into a great diversity of work areas within automotive cybersecurity.

 

We are therefore looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Design Engineer who will support us with System/Software – Design and development, primarily focusing on cybersecurity – Intrusion Detection System (IDS) solution for our End-to-End system integration on embedded software platforms, ECUs, Network & interfaces. The responsibilities involve concept development, design, implementation, and integration by collaborating with cross functional teams and suppliers.

Who are we?

We are responsible for the complete product cybersecurity life cycle, from strategy to maintenance, of the on-board CS Solutions ( e.g., IDS, PKI, etc) which also implies that the group explores/uses both latest technology and tools as well as matured technology and tools. We have the product and technical ownership of the on-board CS solutions delivered by the team as system specification and coordination of the work between different stakeholders including implementation and integration in Complete Vehicle platform

Who are you ?

As a person, you have a broad technical know-how combined with very good people skills and a strong belief in agile methods. You have a strong ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams. Passionate about embedded software and Cybersecurity onboard solutions. Your focus will be to safeguard vehicles from cyber threats and intrusions through robust IDS strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers, to ensure secure design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions.

 

  • Experience of working in IDS Architecture Design and Development (For Automotive ECUs, Networks and Interfaces)
  • Experience of working in Linux, QNX and Microsar OS.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity Systems Design of secure communication protocols and encryption mechanisms.
  • Experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments is preferable.
  • Knowledge of identifying threats and ensure integration with Security Operations Centres (SOC) for incident response.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Hypervisor/Adaptive AUTOSAR/Embedded Linux Kernel is a big advantage.
  • You have very good programming skills in C and/or C++ in embedded environment and "hands-on" experience working with complex embedded software solution/design
  • Interested in automation, CI and CD¨
  • Experience with working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, work independently and collaborative within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Automotive Cybersecurity or Embedded System Industry.
  • Experience in working with intrusion detection systems (IDS) and/or intrusion prevention systems (IPS) in the automotive or embedded systems industry.
  • Experience of working with real-time embedded systems and embedded cybersecurity solutions within OEMs, Tier-1 automotive suppliers.
  • Experience of IDS/IPS systems including anomaly detection and signature-based detection methods
  • Experience with cybersecurity risk management frameworks and methodologies such as TARA.
  • Hands-on experience with Penetration testing tools and Vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Experience in System/Software – Design and Development or embedded system development.
  • Good experience with CI environment, GIT, Artifactory, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of automotive standards like ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and cybersecurity best practices.
