Volvo Group Digital & IT manages the Group’s overall IT strategies and has the end-to-end responsibility for all development, delivery, support of IT solutions and services for the Volvo Group.
We are looking for Data Engineers – to support our data and productization journey to the cloud.
These are challenges waiting for you:
We have the ambition to make sure that data analytics is appropriately embedded in all business processes. You will join our agile product team focusing on creating business value through digital products. You will contribute to enabling new, data-driven services working on the following activities:
Optimize existing flows
Support in building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
Work closely with data analysts to provide required data structures
Keep the data secure across the end-to-end solutions
Evaluate and improve existing data analytics solutions
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
This is you:
Highly motivated individuals with a passion for data having experience 6 to 8 years in below relevant skills .
Development in Microsoft SQL Server BI stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PBI)
Development and tuning of SQL Server tabular models in SSAS
Design and development of various data structures (Star schema, data vault, multidimensional, tabular) – MS SQL Server, MS SQL Server Analysis Services, Tabular
Design patterns – Good understanding of different DW designs and ETL / ELT load patterns and designs
Design and development of front-ends with SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI
ETL development – good knowledge of designing and developing high-performing ETL packages in SSIS, including development of script components in C# and differentiated load strategies
Programming languages: T-SQL, MDX, DAX
Excellent communication skills in English
Extras – good to have:
Knowledge of these services: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Spark or Python
Having a pro-active attitude
Curious for new technologies and open for a change
Experience in AGILE project methodology and practice
