The mission of this role is to define and develop new diagnostic methods and operations, to be integrated in aftermarket diagnostic tools and systems. Develop diagnostic method templates framework, data and logic (fault tracing procedure) for a given vehicle/powertrain (incl.e-mobility) function. In this role you will,

 

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret diagnostic data and provide insights for diagnostic features to increase vehicle uptime.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of diagnostic procedures in end-user tools.
  • Design and test fault tracing, operations, symptom identification, and electrical schematic viewer tools for our global product range.
  • Contribute to the development of new data structures for future diagnostic content, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and ease of use.
  • Ensure the highest quality of diagnostic content for our service-based solutions by conducting thorough reviews and validation processes.
  • Incorporate customer feedback and project scope perspectives when defining specifications and releasing diagnostic content.

Technical Skillset

  • Proficiency in designing and developing wiring harness
  • Systems Automotive knowledge, System architecture (Full system on/off board)
  • Experience with Internal Combustion Engine, electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Ability to create and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Skills in fault tracing and diagnostics of wiring harnesses.
  • Diagnostic techniques for identifying and resolving electrical issues
  • Over the air updates
  • Remote diagnostics Applications. 

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in vehicle diagnostics and automotive engineering.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software (e.g., OBD-II scanners, diagnostic software platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
