Senior Verification Engineer :

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Work in close cooperation with the Projects in order to understand the product development needs and keep update on the verification strategy.
• Responsible for Release/Regression/System and End to End Testing.
• Responsible for setting/modifying HIL or SIL Rigs based on the Technical Descriptions/Specifications.
• Analyse and review Requirements/Specification in order to update/create test cases.
• Creating Test strategy/Test Plan/Test Scope according to the project.
• Identify the testing environment/test data based on the project needs.
• Identify and create/update Manual/Automation test cases.
• Execute test cases in different test environments (trucks, rigs, simulation models, etc.) and reporting.
• Report the results in a clear and traceable way through the internal tools and give retrospective inputs to the Test Manager.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the test effort and based on that propose and drive improvements to the test process
• Responsible for identifying the possible Automation areas.
• Create/Maintain the automation framework.

 Required knowledge/experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics/Automotive) or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience as Verification/Test Engineer (1~3) & (7+ years) documented basic knowledge about electronics / embedded SW testing on system level
• Experience with CAPL/Python/Perl/Shell/VB scripting
• Experience in writing Software test plan/test cases for Verification using a very high level cross functional specification.   
• Good knowledge of Diagnostics Services concepts / error codes / routines / parameters / Software Download (SWDL) test methods/Diagnostic protocols (UDS,J1587,J1939)
• Documented knowledge of the equipment for electronics System / component testing (CANoe, CANalyzer, others, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of the different automated methods for monitoring / steering a system under testing and logging the data
• Good knowledge on working with Bug tracking tool ( Jira,Bugzilla,TFS,Clear quest), Test Management tool (ALM,Zephyr)
• Working knowledge on Microfocus UFT, ALM is a plus.
• Working knowledge on GIT, Jenkins, Azure is a plus
• Basic knowledge of test automation methods, simulation tools, virtual verification methods
• Basic knowledge in agile way of working including continuous integration / continuous delivery / continuous deployment chain, preferably SAFe 4.0 or higher.
• ISTQB certification is a merit
• International and multi-cultural experience with a global organizations is a merit
• Knowledge of aftermarket business and Volvo Group products will be a merit
