We are looking to hire a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic software team. As an embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for executing complete embedded software life cycles for inhouse and supplier software.

Your Future Team

The group consists of passionate and enthusiastic engineers responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and delivering projects in the vehicle dynamics area. Our objective as a vehicle dynamics team at Volvo is to develop, verify and deliver a robust solution ensuring the right quality, which meets the demands and satisfies the customer requirements. Our focus is on customer success, providing reliable products with global impact. You'll work with Volvo, Renault, and MACK products, collaborating with skilled teams across Sweden, USA, France, and India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement driver/application software for vehicle dynamics systems ( TPMS, EV air compressors, Air Management system, Suspension system).

  • Optimize system efficiency, stability, and scalability.

  • Integrate and validate new product designs, supporting software QA and I/O performance.

  • Provide post-production support and collaborate with hardware teams.

  • Develop software for next-gen vehicle architecture and support verification & debugging.

  • Assist with control logic, AI/ML implementations, and virtual simulation in FMEA.

  • Build a network with global teams and lead tasks while mentoring junior analysts.

  • Develop strategies to integrate data analytics and ML for Vehicle dynamics digital twins.

Qualifications & Competency:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Electronics, Software, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years in automotive embedded SW development.
  • Strong knowledge of system/software engineering, embedded systems, real-time OS, and design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with software configuration, defect tracking, peer reviews, and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
  • Proficient in C, C++, Matlab/Simulink, Python, ASPICE, Autosar (classic/adaptive) and Vector.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR BSW integration, Vector tools (Davinci Dev/Conf), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gradle, Klocwork), and version control (GIT/ClearCase).
  • Familiarity with CANoe, CANalyzer, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, J1939, LIN, Ethernet, UDS).
  • Expertise in Unit (SIL) / System / Integration testing and overall EE system understanding. Knowhow of Dspace will be an added advantage. 
  • Experience with Agile methods (SCRUM, KANBAN, SAFe) and knowledge of SAFe Agile mindset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of the product development life cycle, coding techniques, IP protocols, hardware subsystems, and schematics.
  • Strong documentation, leadership, planning, and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading small teams and awareness of ISO 26262 for safety-critical functions.
