Our Region:
The Lyon & International (L&I) region is operating in Lyon with the Renault Trucks Central Warehouse; in the Middle East, with two Regional Distribution Centers located in Dubai and Istanbul; in Africa with three Regional Distributions Centers located in Algiers, Casablanca and Johannesburg and in Asia-Pacific with six Regional Distribution Centers located in Bangalore, Singapore, Shanghai, Seoul, Balikpapan, Sydney. We support all truck brands, VCE and Penta. The multiple flows to deliver parts are monitored and optimized by Supply Planning, Dealer Inventory Management, Transport, Service Center and projects functions, operating all over the region. We are 800 persons, committed to Delivering Excellence and actively promoting safety, diversity, continuous improvement, collaboration, people development and sustainability.
Our Department :
Supply Planning and Dealer Inventory Management (SP-DIM) department has the key asset to manage both sides of the Supply Chain: Planning the flows with our suppliers and Managing the inventory at our dealers. This E2E responsibility enables the team to optimize the full Supply Chain. With more than 3300 suppliers and 2700 delivery points, the playground is huge and taking the most benefit from all our data is key to optimize our flows. We are super active in developing by ourselves all the data tools we need. Continuous improvement is the backbone of our work and each team challenges itself to constantly improve performance. We are located worldwide, and all the SPDIM teams interact with each other across the continents.
What we expect from you?
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is, highly analytical, proactive, hands on and like to work in an high speed environment. As a SRM you will be a key interface in between suppliers and Volvo Operations and depending of the situation you will be assigned different kind of roles. In front of deviations, you will either lead or participate to crisis meeting to secure the quickest recovery. Then you will also contribute to our Continuous Improvement Journey by auditing and coaching suppliers to help them embrace the full scope of Volvo Logistic Requirements. Last you will also have a specific focus on new suppliers ensuring their end to end readiness.
In this position, the incumbent will report to the Supply Planning International Head & work cross functionally with other local / regional managers.
Main responsabilities
- Supplier portfolio ranking review
- Perform supplier audit (MMOG/LE)
- Secure new suppliers’ readiness for service market business
- Escalation of supplier at risk to Purchasing teams
- Continuous Improvement, Risk mitigation & crisis management of local suppliers
- Digitalize reports to support Site/BA decision
- Review logistic parameters handling for each Site/BA
Key Competences
- Supply Chain / Logistic Knowledge
- Digital savvy (Power BI, Python… are a plus)
- Volvo Production System or related with Lean Leadership Skills
- Communication and leadership skills
- Networking/Negotiation skills
- Perseverance, energy and a drive to improve
- An aptitude for self-development and a holistic view
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Operations Management / Data Engineering or related fields
- Minimum work experience of 3 Years in similar job role / skill set
- Excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are given merit
