As Lyon & International (L&I) region, we operate the supply chain solutions from suppliers to dealers to secure the best possible results for all our Volvo brands and customers in a diversified marketplace with strong connections with our business partners and colleagues globally in the Volvo Group. We as L&I are running a Central Distribution Center in Lyon and eleven Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) based in Algiers, Casablanca, Dubai, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Balikpapan, Bangalore, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and Sydney. Our Distribution Center in Seoul is also the Central Distribution Center for the Volvo CE excavator business. What are we looking for
We are seeking a dynamic and future-ready Supply Planner Specialist to lead supply chain activities. This role goes beyond managing part availability — it is about enabling sustainable growth, resilience, and innovation within the supply chain.
As a key member of the Service Market Logistics (SML) team, you will play a critical role in end-to-end supply chain planning, procurement, and scheduling of aftermarket parts for both Group and Non-Group suppliers. You will drive performance improvement and operational excellence in alignment with the SML Lyon and International Roadmap, while addressing emerging challenges such as supply chain volatility, digital transformation, and evolving customer expectations
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Refill Coordination: Manage refill planning and coordination with Central Distribution Centres and schedule parts for Non-group Material Suppliers (both local and overseas). Collaborate with approved liners, transporters, and CHAs for Sea/Air/Surface modes.
- Cross-DC Collaboration: Work closely with other Central Distribution Centres (CDCs) to strengthen end-to-end supply visibility and take full self-refill responsibility
- Supplier Scheduling: Release daily schedules to material suppliers and maintain records/follow-ups based on priority, ensuring top focus on Vehicle off Road (VOR) parts.
- Availability Management: Ensure weekly availability targets and back-order recovery objectives are achieved.
- End-to-End Optimization: Drive efficiency and optimization across the logistics supply chain within SML operations, including collaboration on SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and Packaging initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead prioritized improvement and development initiatives within refill and back-order recovery processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.
- Ownership and Accountability: Take initiative to deliver results, assuming full responsibility for actions, costs, and outcomes.
- Strategic Planning: Anticipate future business needs and develop proactive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.

- Broad expertise in supply chain processes, particularly in Aftermarket Materials Planning and Supplier Management.

Functional Skills Required
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify patterns in data, draw logical conclusions, and recommend effective actions.
- Supply Planning & Operations: Strong understanding of demand, inventory, and material management.
- Customer Focus: Develop effective relationships with internal and external partners (TDs/BAs/SML).
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Tackle challenges with a structured approach and ensure clarity on task ownership.
- Flow Thinking: Apply VPS/Lean principles for process efficiency.
- Digital Tool Utilization: Skilled in using digital tools for material tracking, supplier management, forecasting, and data analysis.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business Management.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning or related functions.
- ERP knowledge in Materials Management/Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will have added advantage.
- Experience working with AS400 (VIPS) or SAP environments.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in data management tools — MS Office 365, Power Apps, Power BI, QlikView/Qlik Sense, or similar platforms.
- Willingness to travel frequently as per business requirements.
