Role Summary:
As a System Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of complex automotive systems. You will define system architecture, ensure requirements traceability, interface with stakeholders, and support integration, testing, and validation to deliver high-performance, compliant vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and document system architecture and interfaces for embedded automotive systems.

Capture and manage system requirements using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.

Ensure alignment between system, hardware, software, and vehicle-level requirements.

Create functional and technical specifications for subsystems (e.g., powertrain, ADAS, electrical systems).
-
Work closely with domain experts, software developers, and validation engineers.

Conduct design reviews, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and support DFMEA activities.

Support system integration, verification, and validation at component, system, and vehicle levels.

Ensure compliance with relevant automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO 21434).

Collaborate with global teams and support cross-functional development activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of system engineering concepts, V-model, and product lifecycle management.

Hands-on experience with requirement management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Polarion).

Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or Ethernet communication protocols.

Familiarity with tools like SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, or Enterprise Architect.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:

Exposure to functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and ASPICE.

Experience with automotive domains like ADAS, electromobility, infotainment, or powertrain.

Background in model-based development and simulation tools (e.g., Simulink, Stateflow).

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern development processes.
