As the Head of Marine, Europe Central (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg), your role will be instrumental in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the region. By developing and executing strategic commercial plans, you will focus on increasing sales, expanding market share, and enhancing overall profitability. This involves actively seeking out untapped business opportunities.

 

You will lead the Management team in Europe Central to ensure that every leader is  together with the teams driving growth initiatives, encouraging creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Building and strengthening relationships with key clients, dealers, and stakeholders will be essential to uncover additional growth potential and secure long-term customer loyalty. Monitoring key performance indicators and financial metrics will enable you to quickly identify areas for improvement and invest resources where they will have the greatest impact.

Role Purpose & Mission

As the Head of Marine, you will be responsible for driving results and overseeing all marine operations in Europe Central. Your primary focus will be on achieving sales targets, enhancing profitability, and ensuring the smooth flow of cash within the marine segment. You will report to Hanna Ljungqvist and play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives through commercial plans and aligning operations with broader organizational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial plans to drive sales growth, profitability, and market share. Maximize the potential of our three segments: Leisure, Commercial and Yacht/Super Yachts
  • Accelerate our Parts & Service business and continuously develop the Volvo Penta service dealer network
  • Lead the marine management team to achieve sales targets, expand market penetration, and secure customer support
  • Develop the team in unleashing the full potential both as individuals and as a team
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with key clients, dealers, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Monitor financial and other performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess profitability and cash flow within the marine segment
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the local Management Team
  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all marine business functions, including sales, service, and business support

 

Skills & Competence:

  • Motivating Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills will be essential to succeed in the role
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation
  • Proven track record of success in Sales and Business Development
  • Strong understanding of the marine industry, market dynamics, and customer needs
