What you will do

At the Volvo Construction Equipment Compact Business Unit, you will play a key role in transforming our company, the construction equipment industry, and society as a whole.

We are looking for a dynamic and results‑oriented Business Manager to lead sales activities for our Volvo Compact Products and Services portfolio, including our innovative Electric Machines (E‑Mob) range, through selected Volvo dealers.

Your market scope will cover:
Austria, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Spain.

As Business Manager, you will develop and execute strategies to:

  • Boost dealer engagement and participation

  • Strengthen product knowledge and confidence

  • Drive overall sales growth

You will be part of a wider team dedicated to accelerating Compact Equipment sales growth across all channels to market.


Your main responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy – Develop and implement sales strategies with the relevant Market Area team to increase dealer participation, sales volumes (including services), and market share.

  • E‑Mob Strategy – Further develop our Electric Machines market approach to drive the shift toward sustainable, electric‑powered solutions.

  • Dealer Enablement – Strengthen dealer capabilities to support sales growth and deliver excellent customer experiences.

  • Market Analysis – Identify opportunities by customer segment and geography; monitor trends, competitor activity, and market developments. Represent Volvo at trade shows and events.

  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting – Support dealers in stock forecasting, sales planning, demonstrations, and training. Provide accurate forecasts and management reports.

  • Service & Parts Support – Collaborate with Service Market Managers to identify and develop service, parts, and attachment opportunities.

  • Product Knowledge & Promotion – Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product features and benefits; work with Marketing to create impactful campaigns.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans.


Who you are

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a deep understanding of the construction equipment market and dealer sales channels

  • Is self‑driven, proactive, and results‑oriented

  • Excels at building strong, long‑lasting business relationships

  • Can manage multiple priorities while balancing short‑ and long‑term objectives

  • Possesses strong business acumen and advanced negotiation skills

  • Anticipates market trends and adapts strategies accordingly

  • Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards

  • Communicates fluently in English, both written and spoken


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience, ideally in compact equipment

  • Proven direct sales and negotiation skills

  • Experience working within an OEM distribution model preferred

  • Strong financial understanding

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, finance, or management
