This role sits within Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) at our Newcastle dealership, supporting our customers who keep Australia moving.
What you will do
As an Auto-Electrician, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Electrical fault finding and general diagnostics
- Electrical assembly and installation
- Preventative maintenance services and electrical repairs
- Assisting with offsite and breakdown repairs
- Carrying out all repairs in accordance with Volvo specifications.
Your future team
You will join a close-knit dealership team in Beresfield, reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and working alongside a motivated group of of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Parts Interpreters, Service Advisor’s and Costing Clerk’s. This role will join our day shift, with working hours of 6:30am to 2:30pm.
Who are you?
We believe that your personal characteristics are just as important as your technical skills, so ideally you will have:
- An auto-electrical qualification
- A NSW trade license
- Proven experience working as a qualified Auto-Electrician in a heavy commercial environment
- Some exposure to light mechanical work
- A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
- A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset.
