Service Market Logistics North America (NA) is a part of SML and has about 1,000 employees across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS as well as Regional Distribution Centers across the NA region.

 

Position Description


The Operational Resource Planner is responsible for collecting and analyzing of all relevant business information having impact on workload of CDC Byhalia processes.  This information is being translated into operational recommendations to tune and/or adjust daily operations.  Resulting actions are being owned and coordinated by the Operational Resource Planner.

 

Influence


Operational mandate related to estimating required resources and providing advice to operations about proper allocation of resources. Has an influence on Delivery performance of CDC Byhalia (Inbound Leadtime & Outbound Departure precision)


Key responsibilities/ accountabilities

 

  • Represents CDC Byhalia and line management during interface meetings with colleagues, partners, and customers
  • Aligning the needs and opportunities of DC Operations and different interfaces
  • Analyzing proposed supply chain adjustments (Material Planning, SCO, DCs, ...)
  • Translating activities with influence on workload vs manpower towards DC Operations and coordinating implementation
  • Targets for workload leveling (IN/OUT + between brands)
  • Targets for resource balancing, inclusive equipment
  • Monitoring, reporting & securing Delivery cost drivers & KPI’s
  • Drive the collaborative forecasting process through category reviews, partnering with various supply chain teams
  • Expedite operation that delay schedules and/or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Utilize demand planning tools and software to track historical trends, research, evaluate, audit to forecast results

For this position, the base pay is set at $85,000 - $100,000 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
