Service Market Logistics (SML) is part of Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO). We are a global organization of about 3,750 employees located in over 47 locations in 30 countries. Every day we deliver world-class operational excellence to our customers by applying smart logistics solutions. Our job is to develop, manage, and optimize the Service Market supply chain (aftermarket parts distribution to dealer network) for all Volvo Group brands and joint ventures. The scope of Service Market Logistics’ functions includes: Supply Chain Optimization, Inventory Management , Distribution Center Operations, Customs & Trade, and Transport Optimization. We develop logistics solutions to ensure the highest parts availability, delivery precision, and quality everywhere around the world. SML North America (NA) has over 1,000 employees across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Our distribution network consists of a Central Distribution Center (Byhalia, MS) as well as 8 Regional Distribution Centers across the North American regions. We are adding several Inventory Auditors at our Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS. This Byhalia DC is a 1 million square foot facility located approximately 25 miles southeast of Memphis, TN and employs approximately 625 employees.

Description/Responsibility

  • Perform system identified cycle counting
  • Perform daily stock checks in Byhalia initiated by stock administration to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Perform daily empty bin audits in Byhalia initiated by stock administration
  • Perform daily bin verification in Byhalia initiated by stock administration
  • Perform daily nil pick audits per nil-pick reports generated by the system
  • Perform transfers between brands
  • Report any deviations in inventory to the stock administration and management
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management
  • Cooperate with other audit functions in operation to develop end-to-end process solutions
  • Support Continuous Improvement process for inventory operations
  • Participate in and drive 5S activities to improve safety and inventory accuracy

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Required minimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar function in a logistics or distribution company
  • Required minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience operating required equipment, such as a stockpicker or a forklift
  • Experience working in a production driven environment
  • Experience working in or willingness to learn SAP, DLX, SPM, SPED, LHELP
  • Skilled in analysis, problem solving, trouble shooting
  • Proven experience setting priorities and ability to work independently

For this position, the base pay is set at $21.24-$28.73/hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
