Parts Specialist - Calgary

Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group, is currently looking for an effective and independent Parts Specialist to fill a vacant position within their team in Calgary.
 
WHAT IS EXPECTED: 
 
As a Parts Specialist you will be responsible in helping to increase the level of productivity of the service technicians by handling the Kanban as well as the local supply chain. The Parts Specialist has a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division in order to perform all functions relating to the sale and/or handling of replacement parts and accessories.  He assists customers with parts requirements, process order paperwork and shipment of parts to maintain company standard of customer satisfaction and provide assistance and work to implement strategic pricing strategies and pricing programs.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Resolve customer parts orders and issues
  • Writing clear and precise messages in sales orders
  • Ability to forecast parts requirements
  • Research, identify, and order parts

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Must have heavy duty parts experience in determining required parts needs. Able to read parts drawings. Assisting technicians in all aspects of acquiring bus parts.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and in accessing the Prevost databases to identify parts, numbers and communicating with mechanics and customers.
  • Able to interact with customers and respond to their needs; both in the shop and performing daily sales at the front counter.
  • Able to work in a team concept with people from all aftermarket sectors.  
  • Able to follow organizational guidelines and be very rigorous in the Kanban principles. Must have excellent computer skills and Microsoft knowledge, word, excel, power BI.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  • Ticket in parts management considered an asset in bus parts and heavy-duty parts
  • Clean class 5 license
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Be able to lift 20Kg and walk distances
  • Be able to stand or sit or long periods of time. Be neat tidy and well organized.
  • Be able to tolerate extreme local temperatures
