Your future team

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of 23 workshop staff are made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Service Advisor’s and Costing Clerk’s. The VCV Gold Coast dealership pride themselves on an inclusive and stable work environment, producing quality work. We have opportunties to join our day (6:30am to 2:30pm) or afternoon shift (2:30pm to 10:30pm with 18% afternoon shift loading). Currently based in Carrara, we are excited to move in to our brand new Yatala dealership in 2027, which will be roughly 3 times the size of our current dealership.

What you will do

Our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics have the opportunity to work on Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Mack and UD Trucks, some of Australia’s most innovative transport brands. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing and maintenance on trucks and buses, in line with Volvo Group’s standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 

  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
  • Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
  • Component overhauls
  • Driveline repairs
  • Preventative maintenance services and repairs
  • Offisite and breakdown repairs
